Frank returns to Wasilla

March 7   Frank Sihler is back in Wasilla, having been flown out from Finger Lake two days after his dogs were. "Frank is back home safe and sound," Claudia says. "No frostbite, no wear or tear, a little disappointed but happy that he didn't hurt himself or the dogs further down the trail. Read more

March 6   The 2007 Iditarod race started in sunshine, but for Frank and his team it ended in a howling storm between Finger Lake and Rainy Pass. Read more

March 4   WILLOW -- One by one, Frank's volunteer dog handlers grabbed his hand and wished him a safe trip. He thanked each of them, especially the folks who assumed he was nervous about the 1,100 miles between the starting line and Nome. Read more

Race day in Anchorage

March 3   ANCHORAGE -- The ceremonial first leg of the race -- a warmup lap -- went well for Frank. Also, meeting Iditarider Alexandra Bratton and updates from the trail. Read more
